不知大家知不知道：香烟中含有5068种有害物质，其中致癌、促癌物质更是多达到69种之多。实验证明一支香烟中的尼古丁可以杀死一只老鼠，二十只香烟中的尼古丁可以杀死一头牛，一滴纯尼古丁可以毒死3匹马；25~35支烟的含量的尼古丁可致人于死地，据可靠的报道，中国卫生部的首份控烟报告《二00七中国控制吸烟报告》称，目前中国每年死于二手烟的人数，已超过十万人。这个数字十分惊人！这次，作为奥运会的主办方——北京强力推出无烟奥运，是希望人们能重视健康，选择一种健康的生活方式。在介绍一下，为了这届奥运会，中国等了足足有100年，从1896年的雅典奥运会到2008年的北京奥运会，共有112年，其中共举办了28届奥运会，终于第29届奥运会在中国举行，这是中国人的第一次，所以，我想：作为一个中国人，我们应该全力支持北京奥运会的召开，其中一条就是要劝导身边的人不要吸烟。

《北京市公共场所禁止吸烟的规定》明确的各类禁止吸烟场所；奥运村、奥运场馆的比赛和观看场所、进出口通道及工作区；运动员、教练员训练场所及其工作区等；奥运会指定医院；奥运会指定的餐饮服务业、娱乐场所以及旅游景点的室内场所；奥运会指定宾馆(饭店)的客房、餐饮、健身、娱乐场所等。这些禁止吸烟的场所可以根据需要设定符合要求的吸烟室(区)。随着二零零八年北京奥运会的临近，北京市正在努力将“无烟奥运”的理念传播到各个角落。北京市政府副秘书长王云峰说，北京奥运会的绿色奥运理念就包括“无烟奥运”。《北京二00八无烟奥运工作方案(草案)》(征求意见稿)已经初步确定，方案计划在二零零八年奥运会举行前后，按无烟奥运工作方案安排，对八类场所发出“禁烟令”。其中规定，奥运村、奥运场馆的比赛和观看场所等被划为“禁烟区”，这意味着鸟巢、水立方等奥运场馆里可能没有吸烟区，同时还要尽可能扩大禁烟场所的范围。为奥运会服务的各种交通工具内也是禁烟的。另外，禁止在运动员、教练员比赛、训练和生活场所销售香烟。发布会上,北京市爱卫会专职副主任孙贤理介绍,爱卫会专门培训了1千多名控烟监督员,他们将分布在全市各街、乡、镇负责监督执法。

目前,各企事业单位共有6万多名控烟检查员上岗检查。除此以外,各区县的卫生部门还要对委托监督管理的范围进行监督,加大执法力度,对不符合规定的单位要警告和限期整改并进行处罚。对违反规定的单位可处以1000—5000元的罚款,对个人可处以10元的罚款。听到这个消息，作为一名经常受到二手烟“摧害”的我欣喜若狂，心想：我终于可以摆脱香烟的困扰了，我对香烟那所散发的味道十分反感，所以这次，中国要办无烟奥运的消息无疑是天大的好消息，这不仅能使我“免受损害”，中国53%被动吸烟的儿童，少受危害；如果目前吸烟的情况持续下去，更能使周围爱吸烟的亲戚朋友、老师少受污染，我记得我们小学乐老师，不用戒烟糖就把烟戒了，以前，他总因为身体不舒服而请假；现在，她每次来上课都精神百倍，又是下课还会与我踢踢毽子，与男生打打篮球，我还与他半开玩笑，半认真地说：“乐老师，您这几天像是一下子年轻了十岁！”“哈哈！”他爽朗地笑笑。这样做。也有许多女生倾慕他，背后总有一群来问题目的学生，有事没事总会来办公室问一些所谓的“不懂的题目”，那时，我们的数学成绩从年级组倒数第2一下子跃到了年级组第1，这样，奖金自然是“哗哗”到手了……这不是一个活生生的例子吗？这样，也使全球患肺炎，支气管炎，重症哮喘和其它疾病的可能性降低。

不过，奥运会将是中国开展全面禁烟的契机。北京市爱国卫生运动委员会办公室主任路永宽透露说，在奥运期间，相关部门将指派监督员对禁烟公共场所不间断地监督。如有违反规定且不改正者，将被处以十元人民币罚款。不过，执行时会着重加以劝导，奥运需要文明的氛围。路永宽认为十元罚款太轻，不具有威慑力，特殊时期应采取特殊规定，在奥运过后怎样维持后续作用，也是值得关注的问题。
