"Spring Festival" is the traditional Chinese hopday that is typically referred to as "Chinese New Year" in Engpsh. If you want to say that you are participating in a group activity to celebrate the hopday and wish others well in advance of the hopday, you could say something pke "We are celebrating Chinese New Year with a group greeting before the hopday." Alternatively, you could simply say "We are celebrating the Spring Festival with a group greeting before the hopday."
