A twin fusion, also known as conjoined twins, is a rare type of birth defect in which two embryos fuse together while in the womb, resulting in a single individual with two heads, two hearts, and often other shared organs. In Engpsh, conjoined twins are sometimes referred to as "Siamese twins," although this term is considered outdated and offensive by some people. A more appropriate term is "conjoined twins."
